Anybody have any experience or opinions on the ATI folding stock kits for the
AK? The seem to go for $99 bucks for all furniture. forward grip has rails.

I got an ATI for my ishy but it is more accurate in the original wood. It seems solid enough. Just thought I might give my ak the dimestore commando treatment.

thanks - the bevr

We "upgraded" from Speedfeed stocks to ATI stocks for our shotguns at work. Obviously this is not the same stock, but if the build quility is the same, I would be running, not walking, to almost anything else.

If I read you clearly the ATI are not advised.
Not unless their AK folders are significantly better than the 870 shotgun stocks. They might be- but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I've heard decent things about Tapco. Not top of the line, but workable.

thanks but the search saved me some grief. I think I am going romy wire. I will have to get another solution for the forward stock. I am wanting something to mount a reflex or red dot to.

Thanks for the input! I was wanting cheap and solid not cheap and workable so I will skip the tapco.

No money, but that gun monkey on my back needs to be fed. .

I didn't care for the tapco folder, it was mushy. I do like the adjustable lop from the tapco M-4 style stock, but even this one makes me question its durability.

However, for a rock solid folder, the romy style is the way to go. Maybe not quite as nice as an ACE folder, but close enough for a whole lot more reasonable price.
