Curious how many folks here are Atlas fans. I’m thinking of ditching my remaining STI/ Staccato guns for one, likely an Athena but not sure. They are just exquisite in quality, makes a Staccato feel like a Springfield in a lot of ways.

I don't get the Buick ports in so many of the current crop of guns.

I know you can do a better job at explaining Lightning cuts than I can. And I used to say that I would not own a gun with such due to being a doorway for dirt.

However, once you shell out the cash for a top tier gun and take it to range and experience how it shoots like a house 0’ fire; the coolness registers 11 on the scale of 1-10. Then the things you thought you didn’t like become overshadowed by the total coolness of the package and actually become quite acceptable and maybe even cool.

Similar to my street racing days 50 years ago; guys were very critical of the top production cars, UNTIL they owned one.

Oh, I understand the move to light slides for fast cycling of power factor ammo, I would just prefer it not be done with daylight holes.
(Not my gun, but I like the looks.)

I get it, everyone has their likes and dislikes.

My previous post was not aimed at you, it was pointing at myself. I disliked the cut outs before I owned one. But I flipped once I had one.

Yes, they’re at the top of the 2011 world along with a few other manufacturers.

Certainly they have a manufacturer's license since they are building guns, not working on yours.
I wonder what their production rate is.
There are a lot of gunboard mentions and pictures, they must be turning out a fair number and pretty efficiently, none of this 5 year delivery stuff.

Maybe someday if they make a 10mm model, o_O …. until then, hard pass. Not interested in the minimeter model.

My Artemis took 5 months, but right now they are saying 3-4 months.

They do work on customer guns, and not just Atlas. They will also work on 1911’s.

Looks like a very space age gun. I guess I'm too much of an unrefined hick to not know that enjoying my 1911 Springfields and Colts makes me uncouth. Heck, I like my Tisas 1911s, too. None are 2011s - my gun sensibilities are all still living in the previous 2 centuries. Where can I find help?
Can someone start a go fund me page so I can get a couple of 2011s and join the 21st century gun community?

I shot my Hyperion last night in a local match. The gun is extremely impressive in every way.

The reason for the slide cutting on electronic sighted guns is to " balance" the added weight of the sight so 9 mm competition loads cycle optimumly for quick shooting. The comps of course help too . Slide cuts are carefully tried with recommended sight systems for popular Red Dot Carry class and open classes.

9mm and 40S&W is where the competition market is and that’s generally what they build. Hard core competition pistols. People don’t compete with 10mm.
Ah dude, I used to compete in local IDPA-style matches with a stock 10mm S&W 1006 and did well consistently. There were a few other guys back then running 10mm Deltas in the same matches. Hard core 10mm fans and reloaders.

I’m sure these Atlas hi-cap hoser guns are great in the comps, but if they’d just widen their caliber choices a tad more they’d actually expand their users base significantly, given the current resurgence of the 10mm cartridge.

Everyone knows how absolutely accurate and fair the news report these days.

I need to know the whole story before passing judgement.
You can look up the court records. Not sure how you get biases from that short story. There is about a trillion to one shot that they even knew he was a gun builder at the time.

Lots of bad actors have fanboys in this industry. It is what it is...
