Okay, I’m bored.

A few years ago, I built the top end of this STI 2011 9mm pistol, installing sights on a carefully-fitted a match-quality slide with an extended KART barrel, just because I like the way it looks with an extra inch of barrel sticking out the front of the slide. The bottom part of the gun is from a pistol I won in the 2012 S&W National Match.

It just might be the most accurate pistol I’ve ever built and that’s saying something!

Recently, I got the bright idea to “bling” it up a bit. I had a local shop Cerakote the slide in “Sedona” deep red and the barrel in gold. Guns like this make fans of traditional blue-steel-and-walnut scream and run in small circles, biting themselves between the shoulder blades.

I think it looks cool. Sue me.

Yeah, I spelled "unusual" wrong. Actually, it should have been "unique", because there sure isn't another one like it.

Nice 9, and there is nothing wrong with the color/motive selection of your gun, as we say, whatever float's your boat.
