Just noticed that CZ has increased prices again on their pistols between $20-25/per model!... 75B, SP-01, P-01, 97B... all gone UP!
I think shooters are beginning to really 'discover' these guns and understand their quality, reliability and craftsmanship... So STOCK-UP fellas, things are only going to get worse (price wise)!

Yes, everything is going up or has already got there.
The list price on my 550 FS is US$ 847.00!

So I think that $600 plus shipping is a good deal for someone.

Yeah, unfortunately between the price of transporting stuff (gas$) and importing products from Europe (the tanking US$$) prices got nowhere to go but UP...
Damn, gotta complete my collection of CZs soon!!

Let's see, got my 75 a couple years ago for $350.00, geez, what a deal. Got my Custom SP for $885.00 total. Just got my 97 for $550.00 total.

I bet some THR members can post some really great prices paid for their CZ's some years back.

I'd better grab up that CZ 97 ASAP, eh, GZoh?!?! I'll be hit'n that rep. up here soon and see what I can do about lay'n my hands on that 97!!! Not to mention that I'd love to try it out before buy'n one. Can't wait to compare it to my HK .45 ACP!!!! :)

is the Czech republic on the Euro? I think not, so I don't see how a sinking $$$dollar has that effect on the price increase.

The Economics of the CZ...

Don't know, not an 'Economist'... but most of Europe is on the Euro and wages have been going UP all over Europe... so maybe Czech workers are also wantin a piece of the pie (ie. Labor Costs)... And remember, most of Europe is paying a helluva lot more than the $4/gal for Gas that we are (transportation costs)... but who knows for sure what's really doin it?
Or, it could be what I said awhile back, more gunners are discovering the CZs (demand) and the Company feels it CAN hike prices???... Ahh, the 'conundrum' of Economics!!!

Their rifle prices(cz 550) jumped up $75 from the supplier last month. Figured everything alse cz would soon follow.

Great Currency Site CLOUDPEAK... kinda says it all!
The US$$ has lost about 50-60% of its value against most currencies in the past 4-5 years... So if you're sellin stuff to us, you're just gettin that LESS money... As a business, you basically then have TWO choices... either you RAISE prices, or you 'take-it-in-the-shorts' which most businesses can't do for very long!!

I've been noticing the steady rise in gun shop prices on the CZ pistols. Pretty soon they will be priced where new H&K and SIGs are currently (maybe that is not a good thing, eh?).

My first CZ 75B cost me $400 at a gun show. That was in 1997, and it runs like a freight train. Reliable, accurate, comfortable to shoot. Just try to pry it from my collection.

Every time I go into a local gun shop, I gravitate to the used firearms. That's where the real deals are, lightly used, rarely abused, and priced right. Some times I find a rare gem, like a Pre-B without the importer marks, and all the packaging/manuals/paperwork for an off-key song (on my part).

The price of everything is going up, so is the cost of living it up.

Yep, the falling dollar more than anything I think.

It's the outrageous magazine prices that I don't like. I don't know of anyone that has more expensive magazines than CZ.

Isn't that strange? No matter what the reason, shiny new guns are becoming out of reach items in terms of cost. I too, find myself heading towards the used gun counter. Soon a used handgun will become a high priced item. Hell, remember when most shooters shot a 9mm only because the ammo was cheap. Locally, 9mm ammo just rised again this week to $10.00/box. And that's at one of the cheapest gunstores to purchase any ammo.

I'll agree that they are very high relative to the cost of the pistols, but they are only about half the price of HK magazines. HK factory magazines are ridiculously overpriced.

It's not just exchange rates the affect prices. It's also the cost of raw materials driven up by the cost of transport and the cost of manufacturing driven up by the cost of utilities and labor. My local FFL says that all distributors have been slowly rising prices on new stock. Over the last couple of years his cost for NIB CZ75B has gone roughly $50. Even with the price increase CZs are still in a league of their own for an all steel pistol with a legendary reputation. Compare them to SIGs or Brownings and you'll see that CZs remain a bargain.

i wish i knew about this stuff sooner, it seems like the last couple years, everything i use now spiked in price.

In general, I would be buying up guns and ammunition right now. Since 2006, I have been deliberately avoiding spending money on "other gun stuff" (accessories, gunsmithing services, etc.) in order to buy more guns and reloading components.

Basically, I am thinking in terms of having more guns "grandfathered" for the future. I am assuming that I will be able to afford all of the customization I want when there is nothing worth buying left...

Sad, but true.

shoulda waited another year before proposing to my fiance a few months ago, LOL!

I concur with the price of the CZ magazines. The first time I picked up a couple at a gun show, the price was $25 each (guy selling wanted to move them). Six months later, I paid $55 per mag in a gun store. A few months after that, I found a "bonus bag" at a gun show for $20 (all CZ parts in the bag) and added half a dozen more mags to the inventory, plus some grips and a holster.

It used to be that the magazines were priced like they were made from unobtanium, until I was in Las Vegas at an indoor range that quoted one fellow $85 for one Steyer magazine. I didn't feel so bad. Check out the prices for SIG P210 mags, even the .22lr mags are pricey.

I don't see the prices going down too much, even the 10-rounders on GunBroker or AuctionArms (which are great for range use). Mec-Gar is the gold standard for CZ magazines, in my opinion.

20 bucks.

24 bucks.

Other mags, such as the 97 and the Kadet are 30-33 dollars, but that's to be expected. They are not as popular as the 75 series.

When compared to that of H und K or sig, you see the difference. Sure they arn't as widely availible as 1911 or Glock mags, but the CZ was never used in US law enforcement either.

Can somebody give Tecolote and FEG an "Amen Brother!"...
Yep, CZs are STILL a damn good value for what you get (please Teco, DON'T use the word BARGIN, someone may be listening)!... Didn't start this post to 'hammer' the CZ Company for raising prices, cause increases have been slow and reasonable considering... just posting a fact in case someone was thinkin about buyin!
Like FEG my concern is AMMO... which is 'heavy as hell' to ship!!... Having seen a box of 100-9mm WWs at WMT go from $12 to $14, to $18 a box... that's what may be worth stock-piling... Hell, I'm just gettin warmed-up at the range at 100rnds... this 'fun-thing' is gonna get real expensive soon!!
