Im in pittsburgh at my 2nd year at PITT. I live in the beautfial suburb of oakland... Anyways, I have a 870 loaded with 00 buck cruiser ready by my bed in a mossberg loc-box. I would like to know, from PA residents that know, the laws of this state (im from MD) with regard to engagment. What is a justifiable defense shooting? Is property valid, or a simple breaking and entering. What does the caselaw and law dictate for the state of PA. Thanks in advance for you your expertise.

I'm at work now, but in case no one links you the laws, i'll make sure I do at around 11:30.

So what else do you have? I live in Monroeville, originally from Mt Washington. We should have some sort of pittsburgh range day.

You are justified in using deadly force to protect you or another person from death or serious bodily injury.

Inside your home or place or work you have no duty to retreat unless you are the initial aggressor.

You CANNOT use deadly force to protect property, as in its being stolen.
