Ya, the front sight on this Helwan is almost non-existent. I can certainly see where the philosophy of the pistol being a “weapon of last resort” carried over into this handgun design.... well that and the double-digit SA trigger pull. I felt like I was trying to crack a walnut with my trigger finger so any sort of trigger discipline went flying out the window. Heck, I’m thrilled to have hit the paper of the B-16 10 times out of 10 at thirty feet, much less put them all into the colored rings. I stayed with 10 yds, at 25 yds I would have had better luck with a Mossberg shockwave and a load of 00 buck!
I have a case of 124 fmj on the shelf, if I decide to take it out again before the end of the contest I’ll give them a shot.
I say give the ‘ol .380 a try, you never know how well you’ll shoot until you do .
Stay safe.
