Ive had real good luck with the Korean mags, and while I mainly use them for practice, saving my factory mags for serious use, at this point, I wouldnt have any issue using them for daily carry. Price wise, they cant be beat.

FWIW, I've attended several LE Glock armorer classes over the last 20+ years. I don't know what they are currently teaching, but it was always recommended that +2 magazine floorplates NOT be used in LE. The concern was the +2 floorplates coming off and dumping the ammo when they were bumped against something or dropped, etc. That was good enough for me, I didn't use the +2 extensions.....ymmv

i think youre mistaken.. glocks are infallable supernational devices that never fail.. you must have limp wristed it as you tucked it into your holster
You've (obviously) offended Hermóðr, his wrath is wont to suck out some of the perfection. If your lucky, it's temporary. If you happen to be near a campfire or fire place, try sacrificing some plastic. :p

Couple of our guys were chasing burglars. Through backyards, over fences etc. One officer got some part of the magazine snagged on a chain link fence. Ripped off the base plate and the glock 22 mag puked up all its rounds.

We have over 200 officers carrying Glocks now for over 15 years. Only time I ever saw that.

ak103k,

my weidner shipment came in. of course, i had to immediately unbox the new magazines and try them out:

15 round kci mag (2): function, feed and fire just fine. no problems with the base plate coming off, but i didn't do a drop test. i give it an a+.

34 round kci mag (1): had a problem with the follower lips getting stuck inside the mag at round 18. the inner sleeve is two piece and the lower piece is poorly fit and protrudes enough to catch on the follower. i fixed it with a file and a pair of pliers. feeds ammo fine now and will function test soon.

30 round double stack champion banana mag for my 10-22: function, feed and fire just fine. thought i'd try this out as i hate those long 25 rounders. this one also gets an a+.

thanks for turning me on to weidners. the only negative is the high shipping and handling charge.

Glad you like them. :)

I think they are one of the best deals out there mag wise.

I didnt have real good luck with the Korean 18 mags either. I have a couple of Glock 18 mags too, and they really dont work all that great either, so Im not sure whats up with them.

I did replace the springs and followers on a couple of the Korean 18 mags with factory Glock parts, and they seemed to work better, but they still arent 100%.

Ive been dealing with Wideners for quite a few years now, and they do have some good deals now and then, especially if you reload. Pays to get on their mailing list.

I dont remember their shipping being all that different than anyone else, but then again, it seems everyones shipping rates have gone up a good bit.
