Ok so i have been looking for a 1911 in 45acp. At my local gun shop there is a Auto Ordnance 1911 "AS NEW cond. model 1911 45ACP..brown syn grips..military style metal finish..w/box" $499

I am curios about their performance, and reliability, etc. I want a good 1911 at low cost to me,

any incite would be appreciated.

Nm, please lock this or delete this, thanks

I don't have any insight regarding ownership but aren't those things over $600 new? Sounds like a nice deduction for simply being broken in. It'd be nice to know whether the warranty is transferrable as well.

i just picked one up the other day in a trade. mine is an early one after kahr took over. it was made in 2001 and is a series 70. i shot 300 rounds through it and it ran great. the fit and finish is good and its much more sloid than my SA 1911 i just sold. i think its a good gun for the money. i have heard to stay away from the older guns from West Hurley, NY.

I've got one in 10mm that runs great. Put better trigger in as the stock USGI thin trigger bites my finger.
