Avanti/Daisy 853 part?

I just took possession of my 853 today from cmp.org and I pulled it apart to do the trigger modification. When I had it to the step to end up with just a barreled action, this part fell out, but it was already broken into 2 pieces.

I can’t find it on the schematic. Any one have any idea what it is? Otherwise I’ll contact Daisy …

That makes sense, thank you! It is/was the 'hole' in it that was throwing me ... never you mind that it isn't shown on the schematic.

Does it go where you show it to be positioned?

The exact spot isn't all that critical. Generally speaking, I put it about 3/4" from the transition to the smaller diameter but the main thing is, just be sure it's positioned where the tube has necked down to the smaller diameter.

For what it's worth, about half the guns I have worked on lack the spacer. Whether it was never installed or if it was lost by a previous owner, I can't rightly say.
