Well, I finally got a chance to shoot my 870 Express Magnum.
Went to my co-workers land in the Kawarthas and had a awesome day.
His land is 103 Acres. Half of the property consists of a huge ??? sand pit (and many dirt bike trails), and the other half forest.
He is a dirt bike fanatic so he rides up there with his friends. The dirt bike pit is awesome, you must see it to believe it.
He allot of garbage on the land, 50 or so cars, a few trailers, boats, etc..
The 22 was a blast shooting cars and stuff, the sand made the gun jam a few times.
The 870 was a joy to shoot skeet. We had a mechanical thrower so it was awesome. The pachmyar recoil pad helped allot, 50 rounds and it felt like nothing.
At the end of the day he let me shoot a few slugs and buckshots. The recoil of the 3" Slugger and 3" ooo Buckshot didn’t kick hard at all. The new recoil pad is awesome. The slugs went right through the trailers and fridge, the buckshots were awesome to shoot, the IC choke was perfect.
I had a blast, hope to shoot again soon. Taking my hunting course/license Monday and Tuesday. It would be awesome to hunt small game with the 22.
