Yes, its been discussed on the Walther Forum for now. Street price will likely be a little lower than the real Walthers, as Walther USA has raised their prices over the past year.

I am interested in actually seeing one and holding it.

It's strange to see the clones of the Glock, Beretta 92 and now this coming out. I wonder if this is a licensed copy, or just if the patent design ran out.

Nothing against them. It was just not for me. The Baby Eagle is a solid gun. And the Desert Eagle is a fun toy but they are just not for me. The guns are good, I just can't get into them for some reason. Same with CZ. Great guns and company. But I just can't get into them.

And I am kind of a Glock fanboy.

The P99 was the first with interchangeable back straps. Walther was the first with a decocker. The P99 is pretty innovative still.

If this helps the sales of the P99, or causes interest in Walther...I say great.

The P99 looks cosmetically better...so maybe it would help sales that are so low in the US.

I assume Magnum Research started selling this Walther copy because they lost the import rights to the Baby Eagle/Jericho pistol to KBI(Charles Daly). Now that KBI is out of business I wonder if Magnum Reseach will try to get the contract for the Jericho again.
