Desert Eagle 1911?

I actually really like the black finish and stainless beaver tail, it's an interesting combination.

This is the probably the main reason Charles Daly went out of business.. They shoulda had a signed contract, and a more confidential marketing/development strategy. From what I understand they took design of this product to the forums to deliver a product customers wanted, and they it went to Magnum Research... Poor Mr. Kassner.

But yeah, Desert Eagle and 1911 just don't go together. In fact, could the desert eagle be the "anti" 1911? One is smooth, slim, sexy and much more precisely engineered. and the other is a big, bulky hand cannon (but a QUALITY hand cannon).

I would love to see a .50 caliber double-tap!

If this would be the same as the Charles Daly, was their quality any good? Does anybody know where these are made? I had a Taurus 1911 and wasn't impressed, albeit I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was a "miss". I'm just wondering if these would be a better investment than the Taurus.

Not impressed. Nothing really revolutionary or new besides the giant desert eagle 1911 on the slide. Not any better than a 500 dollar RIA Tactical.
No front strap checkering?
Not offered in 50?
What's the point?

The Desert Eagle 1911 is being made in Israel by BUL. KBI, who sold Charles Daly brand firearms, thought they had a deal with BUL but that fell through and now KBI no longer exists. I assume BUL realized what bad financial shape KBI was in and decided they needed a stronger U.S. partner.
