Welcome back and thank you for your service.

after 7 fun filled months in scenic downtown Ar Ramadi, 3/7 rolled back into 29 "Worst place in America" Palms a couple days ago!
I bet "Worst place in America" feels nearly like heaven after 7 months in Ar Ramadi.

Welcome back! Thank you so much for your service and that of your comrades.

I actually used to live in Yucca Valley and used to service the copiers (Xerox) inside 3/7HQ among other on base locations from time to time. That was back in 1997-99 time.

Go to the drive in theater in 29 and tell Mac (if he is at the gate) that Steve Levi said LET YOU IN FREE!

Welcome Back

A sincere thank you for your service and glad you are home. If you are ever in RI, look me up... I owe you a beer and a shot!

Great work Balog!

I got late into the service thing. I am now 39 and about to receive my PhD in Immunology and have tried to get the AirForce Reserves (who are never at their desks, apparently) to return my calls about joining. (I was 26 when I was told by an Army guy that I was too old for service and thought that that was that.) Never understood why. 6' 1" fit and have a pretty good attitude...dunno.

Anyways, Welcome back!

Let me add my welcome back to so many others....

My daughter's national guard unit, an Army AVN Bn (helicopters), just replaced a Marine unit south of Bagdad at a local air base. She's been there about a month now.

Glad to have you back. See to your family and then, when you have the chance, I am sure we'd all like a report of the activities you were privy to.

WELCOME HOME BALOG!

Thanks for your service and to everyone else still over there. *salute* Glad to have you home safe and sound.

I bet you felt pretty good when the plane lifted off the ground, and even better when it went "feet wet"!

And if you need anything else, just ask.

:)

Not to hyjack the thread, but if you are interested and the AF doesn't get back to you, you are at the current age limit for the Army Reserves or National Guard if you are thinking about enlisting. For an officer's commission you are over the usual age limit, but with a Ph.D. in Immunology you may be able to get a waiver (the Army more than likely has need for Immunology researchers).
