With me I brought my best friend (who is also going to attending Scout/Sniper school in the Marine Corp) my brand new CZ452 .22lr. He brought along his 30-06, Rem. 770 7mm mag, and his armalite AR-15.

the CZ preformed flawlessly. I was firing CCI .22lr. I will post my groups once i have a digital camera avail. groups were no larger than 3" with the best 5 round group being 1 3/4". I am 100% satisfied with the purchase. Thank you to those who helped me select it!

After we warmed up with the CZ we moved along to the 7mm mag. He had me shoot first (this was a little intimidating as it was my first time shooting a large caliber rifle) and i was not quite sure what to expect. God damn trigger pull was set so high. by the time the action engaged i was to the top of the damn target. So, scratch that one. I wish i could gloat about an amazing grouping with this rifle, but after my 5th shot we decided to move to the 30-06.

So, the 30-06 just began to agree with me from the first shot. It was smooth, and was hitting on the black from the second round. Three times of 20 in the bullseye and 16 in the black one 3 inches away from the black. We moved over to the 200m range so i was quite excited. I really liked the feel of this rifle and i am highly considering purchasing one for myself.

Finally we moved over to the AR-15. For this I decided to use the Iron at 200m. It was a bit stronger than i was expecting, but it felt really good squeezing off 5 rounds in quick succession and checking the grouping. at 200m my groupings were nothing to gloat over, but there were only 7 rounds out of the black and i fired 60.

I think that overall the trip was a success. We managed to shoot our money away quite successfully. We would have tore it up for a bit longer but it began to rain like a cow pissing on a flat rock so we had to pull on out. I got a good bit of trigger time and it is becoming more comfortable. Now its time to go back to walmart and pick up another block of .22.
Cheers,
John
