What a great hunt! Great storytelling with a lot of information. Well done, H & H. Thanks for sharing. Africa is an experience I dream of, and perhaps one day.... I enjoyed living the experience through your words.

BTW, are there any hunting packages for non-dangerous game such as kudu, impala, etc? Just out of curiosity, would a disabled person be able to have a reasonable success on such a hunt? Disabled being defined in this circumstance as someone who can get around, but not as well as most. I'm not meaning just too sorry to get into shape, but has to "mosey around" because of a real disability. And of course, hoping not to have to run in a panic! :D But that brings to mind the guy who told about the bear that chased him down a mountain. Someone made the comment, "I bet you ran as fast as you could!" He said, "Hell no, I ran as fast as I HAD TO!" :)

.41,

The simple answer to your question is YES. It would be very easy to arrange an African plains game hunt for a person in the condition you described.

Amazing pics H&H. You tell the stories well also. I would love to take some plains game with archery tackle sometime in the future, but going after some Cape Buffalo with a rifle seems pretty exciting.

I've seen video and heard stories about guys going after Buffalo with a Bow, but I'm not particularly interested in doing that.

Kimber,

I've taken Kudu, Zebra and warthog with a bow.

H&H,

Fantastic thread. If the situation in Africa is as you say it is, it would be a great "humanitarian" act to get as many American hunters over there as possible, and to spread the word. It would certainly do much greater good than contributing to your local feel-good anti-hunting charity club.

This is a secret that needs to get out.
