I was just watching some video of the infamous 1997 BoA robbery in North Hollywood, CA. Anybody have any info on whether those were NFA registerd AK's that the two guys used? were they stolen, illegally transfered, or illegally modded? Just wondering. Seems like one of the only, if not the only, crime that i remember in which full autos were used. Just fishing for some info is all. Oh, by the way, I know that Google is my friend, but I thought someone here might have done the work already. :)

as said, illegally modified. Some really interesting threads right here on THR if you use search engine, might enjoy reading them.

AFAIK, only two NFA registered full-autos were ever used in a crime.

One was a M11 .380, used by a cop to kill someone illegally. I forget the other.

What kind of time frame are we talking about here?

Two NFA weapons used in a crime scene 1986?
Is that including suppressor / SBR / SBS ?

I saw a History channel show and they said they used an AK, AR-15, and like a HK91 or something all modified to shoot full auto.

When I saw the footage (a while back) I could have sworn they all used AK's but it was a while ago.

Don’t quote me because I’m typing from memory.
Before the shootout these guys had been busted and should have had the guns taken away.
Their (bite my tongue) attorney convinced the judge that they should keep the guns so they could sell them to pay attorney fees.:scrutiny:
