I've been fussing with a Bar-Sto barrel in my BHP off and on for over a year. Had a gunsmith fit it but he's not around any more. It didn't work very well, hung up while cycling. I stoned the lug down a bit and seemed to fix that. Trouble is that it is very picky about ammo. It likes Berry's round nose and nothing much else.
I just loaded up some Oregon Laser Cast 124 gr round nose 1.13 OAL. Tried them in my Sig 226 and they are great. They will not work in the BHP. Seems that the bullet hangs up. I can see the ring around the bullet where it is hitting the barrel. I won't run OLC flat points either. Is this a reaming issue? Factory loads run fine, but I want to shoot my reloads.
