Barrel Length on Ruger MII Gov.

I am ready to order a holster for my Ruger MKII Government. Just want to be sure of my barrel length.

It is 6 7/8 inches ???????????

Did the .gov ever buy a Mk II? I'm not sure there is a standard length.

Yes.....Ruger did produce some MKII's for the government several years ago...and were sold on the civilain market also....I bought mine new...probably around 15 years ago or so.....It is stamped Ruger MKII and on the other side it is stamped Government....It has a heavy bull barrel out to what I think is 6 7/8 inches....no taper...

You can measure the length of the barrel from the front edge of the ejection port to the muzzle end of the barrel.
