i bought the barska reflex sight a few years back (investment because it was on clearance) and had no gun to put it on, now i have several. i've notice that the sight is kind of slanted when installed on a picatinny rail. all my other sights and scopes sit straight on the same rail. i was able to get a good zero and 50 yards but inside or outside of that range is would hit low and left or high and right. i tried washers between the screws to straighten it out but that just throws the sight off center. it looks like it would work great with a smaller weaver rail. also the laser doesn't project on the whole screen like others i've seen.

my dad gave me an nc star red dot sight and i use that for squirrel hunting. holds zero well and good battery life. i am impressed with the performance of this cheap sight while in the woods. i was thinking about selling the barska sight for cheap and buying an nc star reflex. i like the low profile of the reflex rather than the large round body of the red dots. red dots are great for squirrel because you can acquire a target and follow through very quickly but down fall is there is no zoom.

anyone have the barska reflex sight and what do you think? what about the nc star? any other budget red dots you have had good luck with? i haven't heard much good things about truglo but have been looking at them for quite some time too.
