I recently purchased a new 9mm Tanfoglio Witness Full size small frame (polymer) handgun at a local Rural King store. I then purchased 2 magazines through the EAA website. They fit and work, but they are all metal and there is about a 2mm gap between the bottom plate of the magazine and the handguns grip at the bottom. I looked for Tanfoglio magazine base pads online but they seem crazy expensive and are for the more expensive and large frame match models. Has anyone ever made these? Are these available at a reasonable price anywhere? Something rubber or polymer that would slide onto the bottom of the magazine would be all I am looking for.

I have a Witness P-S too. The all metal magazines, while they do work in the polymer gun, are made for the steel small frame Witnesses and CZ75. I don't think polymer base pads are available and don't think they would fit on your magazines even if they were. I purchased a spare mag from the Mako Group that came with a base pad but they don't show them any more on their website. Mec-Gar mags come with base pads although they are a little different from the Tanfoglio ones.

Wow that's expensive.

Don't the 19rd Mec-Gar CZ-75 mags fit the polymer witness?

They fit my SAR B6P, and I was able to get them for 17 bucks - shipped.

Still looking

Thanks for your response. Can I ask where you got those magazines at that price?

The Sar Arms B6P does look just like the Witness I have. The websites I am looking at price them at $27-33 without shipping.

I ordered one witness magazine from Impact Guns on 11/20 and still have not received an email that it has shipped.
