For you gun loving parents with young'uns out there, the Daisy Red Rider is on sale for $29.94 at Bass Pro.:what:

Hey, heck with having to be a parent, I need to get one those for my self.

ha ha just kidding, that would be selfish of me. I'll get one for the wife instead, and then I will ask politely to use it. :D

Not to knock Bass Pro, our local Wal Mart (south Florida) is selling them for $24.99

I bought 3, one for me, one for the wife and one for the little one when that happens

That is so funny. I just bought a Daisy from Bass Pro last week, but it was the Powerline 1000WS pellet gun, shoot's a pellet at 1000fps, and comes with a scope.

The only reason I bought it, was because somebody gave me a $100 gift card for them last Christmas, and it was on sale for $79.94. I also bought a 1,000,000 candle spot light with the remainder of the balance.

They got it for me for ammo. LOL They should have given me one for Walmart.

I didn't even buy my pellets at Bass, I went to Wallies.:neener:

Didn't they make a movie of the Red Ryder?:uhoh:

Ha! My brother and I got one of these for my mom as a joke bday present a couple of years ago. She still likes to go out back and plink at empty cans with it. She loves it. I guess the joke was on us. :D

If its for a younger child, you might as well get them the smaller version, the Daisy Buck. Its almost the exact same BB gun, but without the wood fore-end and with a slightly shorter stock.

Since most people keep their guns in a safe now days, I think a Red Ryder is great to have to hang over the back door. I keep a Red Ryder and a pellet gun that my young nephews (and nieces) shoot on a wall rack. From across the room they look like real guns and contribute to the nostalgic look.

But it's the newly reintroduced Model 25 daisy Pump that interests me.

Ever check the price on used ones?

Nothing like owning a chinese Daisy Red Rider, no mater what the cost!
Assembled in the USA of parts made in China and the USA * Packaged in USA

I`m looking at the Bass Pro shop, "Holiday Sale" flyer right now and on the front page is a picture of the Daisy, 25 pump BB gun. Price......$39.94.
Good thing they`re on ...............sale.

I'd rather pay a little more to keep our sportsmens stores in business. But that's just me.

Shakerharley, I'll bet an old, original one of these in excellent condition goes for big bucks in collector circles.

Found this on the net:

If you ever have the opportunity to get a No. 25, it's a pretty safe investment. A good used shooter with wood stock is worth $75 today, and the engraved model in good condition now brings $80 or more. In excellent shape, a wood-stocked No. 25 fetches around $350!

$29.95 your probably right. It was given to me by my uncle who died in 1964. He bought it when they first introduced them on the market. It has been stuck in the corner closet ever since.

It's worth more than that to a collector. I don't expect he'll be on this forum, but who knows?
