I just checked the website before your post and ordered it! Glad to see others are looking as well. Thanks for the back check, sir.
I was hoping to see it at $200 (as opposed to the standard $250 price) and this is great at $180 with free shipping (still had to pay $14.40 sales tax, but the gummint always takes its share). Still under the $200 mark, and that was what I was looking for.
Now I can complete my Pietta 1851 Navy .36 progression to include a Second Model (SB TG), a Third Model (RB TG), a S&G, a L&R, a G&G, and my favorite fantasy 1851: SB TG, steel frame, part octagon/part round barrel, plain cylinder (Colt should have produced this as the 1851 Navy .36 Dragoon), in addition to many other fantasy concoctions.
It took 3 years on my meager SS income. The 2014 [CM] SB is a "tail" revolver (but will be a collector's item from now on) with the other two pistols having the "new" Pietta grip profile (date code CN and CP).
When I get the wedge fitted correctly to the barrel on the new pistol (and Guido the Gorilla most certainly has pounded the wedge into barrel lug, as always) I will post pics of all my Pietta variations.
For now, just awaiting Mr. Brown.
Jim
