oh, and don't forget that on that nifty yellow form, it asks you if you are a fugitive from justice.
a bench warrant would qualify even if its for something as stupid as forgetting a court date.
The one and only check I ever bounced was to pay a ticket for an expired inspection sticker on my car. I had just graduated from LSU and was moving out of state for grad school. I had left barely enough in the account to cover the ticket, and when the bank debited an unexpected fee from the account, the check bounced and a warrant was issued for my arrest.
I was technically a fugative from justice from that point until I got the money sent back to the court and got it all straightened out.
This is the only way I can see for a genuine "traffic ticket" (not a felony) to result in a disqualification (though temporary) disqualification from gun ownership.
