BATFE seizing firearms for Traffic Violations?

oh, and don't forget that on that nifty yellow form, it asks you if you are a fugitive from justice.

a bench warrant would qualify even if its for something as stupid as forgetting a court date.

The one and only check I ever bounced was to pay a ticket for an expired inspection sticker on my car. I had just graduated from LSU and was moving out of state for grad school. I had left barely enough in the account to cover the ticket, and when the bank debited an unexpected fee from the account, the check bounced and a warrant was issued for my arrest.

I was technically a fugative from justice from that point until I got the money sent back to the court and got it all straightened out.

This is the only way I can see for a genuine "traffic ticket" (not a felony) to result in a disqualification (though temporary) disqualification from gun ownership.

I'm sorry if the story is "lame", it wasn't my intent to entertain or anything. I was asked to check something out through you guys, and I did. I said at the outset that I figured there was more to the story than what I was told, so thanks for confirming my feelings on that everyone.

Usually when interviewing witnesses or criminal subjects

I ask about their criminal history. One guy in Midlothian, TX told me "just some traffic violations." Turned out he had 3 DWIs and served time for Vehicular Homicide (a felony):scrutiny: . "Traffic violations."
