Hey guys....Stupid question here but I recently bought some stuff from BCM. They sent me a pretty neat "BCM Gunfighter" sticker that I have seen guys in the BCM tests put on their stock (you know the test guns that they put through hell and stuff). Anyway, do you think it would be stupid for me to put one one on my stock? Or is that a mall ninja thing to do and I will leave it be. I have the VLTOR EMOD stock which is awesome, by the way. Thanks.

I personally think it's silly, but there are some real high-speed guys who do it.

BTW, many people put stickers on the VLTOR stocks so they don't get hairs caught in the little crack between stock body and storage tube.

I just think it's product placement for photo shoots. Your not gonna put a sticker on a rifle that your gonna use in combat.

If you think its cool do it. Who cares what internet strangers think? Your response will vary forum to forum anyways. Im sure if you had asked ARF youd get a big hellz ya! Here, prolly not so much. So what do YOU want to do?

I personally don't like giving folks free advertising unless I'm getting a cut... but that's just me. In my younger years I thought it was cool... had a big old chevy sticker on my car... now I just kinda think that type of stuff makes you a corporate tool. I've got lots of friends who like gun stickers on their cars and stuff... I just give my stickers to them and it makes their day, lol.

Yeah, you guys are right. I'm gonna keep puttin em on my gun case. If I get a sticker and I got a part on my rifle from that company, I will stick it on my case. I got a bunch on the case as I mix and match quite a few different manufactures depending on what my preference is. Thanks guys.

put em on your gun case, guitar case, gun cabinet, etc......i would never put a fender or gibson sticker on the guitar or amp that it came with

I was sporting a Dropkick Murphys sticker on an issue M4A1 for a while at one point in time. But then I always challenged myself to see if I could make a Big Army sergeant major have a coronary or stroke. I figured if they were melting down about the sticker on my rifle they wouldn't notice that my boots weren't bloused and I probably wasn't even wearing a reflective belt either :barf:

Tactical stickers will tighten your groups up by .25 MOA.

All kidding aside, if you want to put a sticker on your rifle, do it. I've got at least one rifle with a sticker on the stock.

+1 Z-Michigan. That "I've been in country look at my purdy beard" look is great till your stock rips out a chunk of hair.

I have contemplated stickers to keep my all-powerful beard hair from snagging on a Vltor stock. Unfortunately it snags on the front of my CTR stock, can't do anything about that.

At least we're talking about a BCM sticker and not Hello Kitty or something.

I think Halo Kitty would be pretty cool. If you're doing stickers anyway, why be conformist and predictable? Have fun, put a Colt sticker on your Noveske and a BCM sticker on your DPMS...

LOL. I wouldn't put any gun stickers on my car...that's just an invite for trouble.

If you want to put a sticker on your gun, go for it. I don't think it is for me, but I can appreciate that the AR's primary appeal is its customization potential. Then again, it seems like the classy way to "decal" your AR these days is laser engraving. I have seen some that I actually really like. I can't help with Hello Kitty, but I know Magpul had a limited run of China Doll lowers that kind of fit that niche. There really is a way to cover just about any itch you want to scratch with the AR.

Put it on your gunsafe if you have one, if not then your toolbox, if niether of those then stick it on your fridge (with magnets of course:cuss:).

i put it on mine, and first off it is my gun and not yours or anyone else, so if you want it on there put it on there. if you end up not liking it, take it off, it is that easy. I don't have guns and gear to impress people, i have it, and make it the way that i do for me, i stipple guns, i make holsters, and mag pouches, and i put stickers on guns.

here are some pics.
