BE 86 in 9mm

I am trying to work up some powder puff loads for the wife's new XD mod 2 that I got her for Christmas. I picked up a pound of BE 86 the other day and was wanting to give it a try. I have about 3k lead bullets of the correct weight for the 9mm but, decided because she was pregnant I would boil the lube off them and powdercoat them. so I was looking through my bullets and found some 100 grain bullets for the .380. anyone have any idea how to get from 115 grain load data to 100 grain? on a side note, I got a Dillon 650! odd that she gets a handgun, then buys me a press to keep up with her shooting.....

I think you might find that at lower pressures this powder is less than ideal meaning erratic velocity and dirty. That was my experience with Power pistol. Bullseye would be my choice for light loads.

I've heard that there are risks with the noise from shooting and pregnancy. Apparently unborn babies can have their hearing damaged. Might want to check into that.

No long term experience with BE but i will say that allowing your wife to shoot while pregnant is not a good idea especially at an indoor range. The noise and toxins from handling the ammo will not be good for her and baby. Please look into those hazards before letting her shoot.

i will definitely check out the hearing loss in unborn children, never thought of that! we shoot exclusively at outdoor ranges. But all things considered I will just have her wait the 7 months to shoot. I appreciate the feedback, this place is always a wealth of knowledge.

Went through this with my son and his wife. While she was pregnant their doctor who said ( which really surprised me as most are big time anti's up here ) shooting outside with nothing bigger than 22 would be ok. Where we go there is nobody but us so we would just spend an afternoon shooting 22. But common sense should tell you that inside would not be good no matter what.
