I want to get a tritium bead put onto a Remmy 870 HD 18 inch fixed cyl barrel.

I am planning on using it primarily as an HD gun, but I'd like to be able to shoot some slugs too. My question is, will the slugs shoot to point of aim on the bead, or will they shoot differently? I am not expecting monster accuracy, but out to between 50-75 yds with a bead I'd like to be on the paper.

If the bead is adjusted for slugs, will it affect the way the shot patterns?

What is the correct sight picture for the bead? Shoudl the target be obscured by the bead, or sitting on the top of it? When using a bead with no rear sight, should you be able to see the post that the bead sits on or not? Does it matter? Is it different from gun to gun?

TIA

It's different from gun to gun, from load to load, from shooter to shooter and also depends on the range to the target. Only way to know is to go out and shoot a bunch of slugs and see what happens... sorry, that IS the simple answer 8^).
