The lapse in logic is the "reporter's". If I may boirrow someone's signature line, what makes him think the people who rob, rape, and murder will obey gun laws? Why does he thnik disarmed people are "safer"? Why is he afraid of an honest citizen?
He only needs to look up the road to Columbine to see an operative example - everything those two terdballs did was illegal, gun laws made no difference.:banghead:
Self-defense is a basic human right ("self" being the operative word, the police have no obligation to defend you). This is not a hard concept to grasp.
