I am wondering if I can get some feedback on the accuracy and reliability of the FNP 9. I handled one at a gun show, but none of the retailers carry them here for some reason. ------- I appreciate your help.

Do a search, we've talked about these several times. The FNP is the second best selling polymer gun out of my store, right behind the XD. I'm very impressed with them, and we've only ever had one with a problem. (and that is out of a bunch of guns).

Stephen -

I read that one awhile back. You are one of the best gun writers living on the earth today, period! You are a damned fine credit to the entire industry and I appreciate your breakdowns of specific firearms immensely. Your details are rarely matched.

All I can say is thanks, man, keep it up because few if any do it better and I've read 'em all.

I purchased a FNP-9 and can't wait to try it out. Thank you so much Stephen A. Camp for your review, it was a great review and very appreciated. ---------- This is a great looking gun, I'll let you know how it performs. Thanks again Camp...........

I took my new FNP 9 out this weekend and 3 of us put it through the paces. All 3 of us found it to be VERY accurate. It only had about 150 rounds put through it but we limp wristed, shot it upside down, did rapid fire etc. and it ran perfectly. I am very pleased with it and glad I made this purchase, especially when you consider the price and that it's made in the USA. Thanks again for the comments, review, and threads.

i did a post on this a few months back at another forum..and this popped up..i cant confer this info ..so dont run me over ..and it wouldnt stop me from buying one either..any gun that comes in 40sw with more than 12 rnd mags which FN comes with 14 , in my book is a contender :D

highlights:
"
let's just say that they're not designed to shoot much more than a few thousand rounds in their lifetime.i can't say where i know this from, but let's say it's from high up in FN."

"Thats odd since they have removable and hence replaceable frame rails. These were to be the platform for the 45acp pistol FN was to submit for testing to the US army before that was put on hold."

"ever wonder why they'd have replaceable frame rails?"

"Well most poly frame guns do not so when they wear out you have to throw them out...makes it have a longer service life than most other poly frame guns. This makes them more attractive to any military or police contracts since they tend to be cheap and try to squeeze every ounce of life from the gun.

"It might be that the frame rails ar a little soft.......dont know but that was the reasoning behind several reviews I read."

take it with a grain of salt...am i the only person who has seen this??

Yep, never heard of this before.

I am considering selling my USPc and maybe buying one along with a Ruger 10/22

wasnt trying to start anything..just posting info that could be useful

i think they are sweeet guns..esp if you like polymer but want a DA/SA with all the safties and decocker..thats like having your cake and eating it to i guess..just wish they would make more holsters..thats usually the first thing i do is see what holsters are available when i see something i like..i guess this on hasnt caught on ..yet
