Okay all, looking for recommendations for a good quality belt holster for my new G-26. As I plan to carry this rig regularly, I'm leaning toward the belt as being more comfortable than an IWB (and for better access in the winter).

Right now I'm strongly considering the Galco FLETCH holster. My brother has a Galco Silhouette for his 1911 Commander, and I've tried it and like the comfort and concealment it offers. My only gripe with the Silhouette is that the front sight seems to snag readily on the draw. The FLETCH would seem to solve this, although it would be limited to the specific pistol (and I have a G-17 as well).

Any other thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks all!

Open or concealed carry? For concealed I see little need for the thumb break. The Concealable or Combat Master holsters (if you stick with Galco) would IMO be better. The Concealable does have a rather sharp draw angle which helps to conceal larger guns but may not be necessary for the short butt of this gun.

Thanks for the info.

I just tacked a Don Hume First Agent (slide style holster) onto an order. For $20, I figured it would make a good stop-gap until I can make up my mind. I have an old J.I.T.-slide from DH that I picked up a for my first G-26 5-6 years ago. It's nice for the price IMO, but I wish it tucked the butt and slide into my side a little more tightly. I used it today, and rediscovered the stick-out issue.

As for who to get it from, I'm not really sold on any brand in specific. I was looking at some of El Paso's rigs, as well as IWBs and pocket holsters.

And the primary purpose of this rig is going to be for concealment. When I want an open carry pistol, I'll switch to the G-17 or a revolver, both of which are also crying for nice leather.
