I've got two Benelli's an M1S90 "Tactical" and an older SBE. Both of mine are pre-comfort-tech stocks.
In the M1S90 I've shot buck/slugs
In the SBE I primarily shoot 3.5" 1 3/4 oz steel as it's my duck/goose gun
I wouldn't call either one's recoil all that bad. They do recoil more than a gas gun, but I wouldn't call it significantly more. IMHO, the extra recoil doesn't counter the gains I get from the lighter weight, or the ease of maintenance, which is where the inertia system really shines.
