Hey all,

I recently purchased a brand new 26" Benelli Vinci shotgun. My problem is that the Benelli website says the gun should hold *4* 3" shells, three in the magazine tube and one in the chamber, but mine will only take *2* 3" shells in the magazine tube. I'm using A-zoom snap cap dummy ammo to test this out, but after I put the second shell into the magazine tube by loading it from underneath, it won't accept another shell if I push on the second shell in the tube. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or if the gun is defective?

Many thanks,

Ben

The plug that you must have in it for waterfowl and dove hunting might be in it. It would do just what you describe. Check the owners manual to see how to remove it, or check and see if it is in there.

Sounds like the plug is in the magazine. Limits it to 3 total - 1 in the chamber and 2 in the magazine. I am guessing Benelli ships the gun with the plug in. Same on my Benelli Nova.

Read the manual. It will tell you how to remove the plug, as well as the other things you should know about your new gun.

Thanks -- It Was a Plug that Shipped in the Magazine Tube

Thanks everyone. It was, in fact, a plug that shipped in the magazine tube. I took it out. Everything works great now.

So what do you think of the Vinci? Is it all it should be and more like they try to advertise?

I thought they felt good. Noticeably lighter than a SBE II. The receiver area ia a bit bulkier than an metal receiver though.
