I just bought on Saturday a new S&W 438 Bodyguard to be my daily carry. I've put a whopping 15 .38 +P rounds through it. I noticed one problem that was probably there prior to any firing, the trigger is bent to the right. The very tip of the trigger is almost even with the right side of the trigger guard.

Normal? Do I need to get this repaired? It is still inside the trigger guard so I don't think it is going to be a snagging problem in my pocket.

Call S&W and get it fixed. The 438 is a beauty and you don't want to carry it knowing the trigger is bent. Yes, it will still fire and likely won't snag anything, but it should still be fixed by S&W.

Are you sure it is bent? The trigger is not centered in the frame. Turn the gun upside down and take a look at where it comes out of the frame.
