Beretta 92 or CZ

Correct me if I’m wrong but what do people consider to much plastic? Because in my 92fs including the trigger I think there’s only 4 other plastic pieces

I don't know, I have a 92FS made in Italy and the only thing I've found on it made out of plastic are the grips. My son has an M9 purchased fairly recently and the only thing I saw on his after seeing a post about all the plastic parts on Berettas is the guide rod and the grips. Mine has a steel guide rod.

As for CZ vs. Beretta? I say Beretta because I have one, love it, wouldn't sell it or trade it off for anything and it's slicker than slime on glass. I don't want to shoot a CZ because I don't need a new addiction! I have handled the Armalite AR24 that is supposed to be a modern copy of the CZ (and it's actually on my short list) and I used to have a Tanarmi/Tanfoglio imported by Interarms that was essentially the same thing best I recall. It was years ago but it was a heck of a good shooter and very reliable. The Beretta is a proven, rock solid pistol that flat out works and Lord willing I will always own at least one. The CZ has a proven track record and it's share of CZ-Fanboyz so I'm sure it wouldn't be a bad choice either....However, Glock has more fanboys than any of the modern pistols and and other than being reliable (which is also true of 99.999% of the pistols made today) I'm not sure what folks like about them! Pick the one that feels best in your hand, points most naturally and that you simply like the most. It would be hard to go wrong.

Back when I was shopping for a 9mm, I tried both and liked both. The main reason I went with the CZ75B is because, my local shop had marked them down to clear out some inventory, so I was able to get a new one for the price of the used Beretta I was also considering. For me, it was a question of which to get first. I still hope to pick up a Beretta 92f some day. BTW, I've been very happy with my CZ.

On a newer Beretta M9 I did notice a plastic trigger and guide rod. Not sure what else. Really didn't like the plastic trigger.

I was dead set on getting a sp-01 but that 75b stainless sure was nice, and only 505 bucks. Im gonna go back and see if i can get it for that out the door, if not I will wait for an sp-01

Dealer cost is $528 for the stainless. Buy it now and smile!!!!! I paid $500 plus shipping, plus a FFL fee and was happy.

j1979,

We are blessed to live in a country that allows us great variety in making a selection. We are also blessed to live in a time when there are so many well made and designed models of handguns.

I'm sure you will be delighted with whichever one you pick. They are both world class.

I like the CZ. Feels better in my hand. IMHO, the BHP is the best gun in terms of ergonomics. The CZ comes in second. Beretta feels like a brick in my hand.

The BHP is my favorite pistol as well but they pinch the web of my hand. I'd like to get another and bob the hammer. Beautiful pistols as well.
