Ok, so I got one new. So what does it do? Shoots a FOOT HIGH right out of the box with all ammo. With sights cranked all the way down, still shot about 6 inches high. Called Beretta customer circus and sat on hold for 30 minutes to talk to a rude, unhelpful customer service rep who just said I have to send it back. No Return Authorization number, no nothing. Wel, I got it back the other day and they replaced the barrel. Paperwork says they could not zero it at the factory, so they replaced the barrel. Enclosed a test target showing a pretty decent group. Yeah, they must have fired another pistol at it, because this one isn't shooting like that. It shoots 5 inch groups at ten feet. What a tack driver! This thing, from a rest, will not hit a can at 20 feet. It will actually put rounds all around it without hitting it once. WOW!! How impressive! Must be that Guigaro Design or whatever! More like GaggingGun Design.:barf: What a POS. Should have bought a Ruger. This pile of:cuss: Gets sold, I'm done screwing around with it. I'm not sending it back again and paying more shipping. This was my first Beretta and my LAST! I will NOT buy another Beretta. Period. Their customer service stinks and so must their QC. :banghead: :fire: :cuss: :barf:

Beretta Neos=:banghead:

I hear how great Beretta is. Really? Where? Their customer service stinks, their Quality Control obviously stinks (I got a crappy replacement barrel to replace a crappy barrel), and they just do not seem to care. You watch. That CX4 Storm everyone is waiting for is going to be a POS, mark my words. It's also designed by that GaggingGun Design that designed the Peeos, er, Neos. You watch. That Storm will be an inaccurate POS. An overpriced one, too. And you'll be saying, "I should have bought a Hi-Point or a Ruger PC9!"

You don't think that judging a whole gun company's output on one example of one model might be a bit hasty?
Can we judge all Colts by the All American 2000?
Judge all Smith & Wessons by the Sigma?
Judge all SIG's by the Trailside?
The Neos may well be junk. I'm a huge rimfire fan and I knew 10 seconds after picking one up in a gunshop that I had no interest in ever buying one.
But the Beretta 92FS stainless that is lying loaded about five feet from me has my confidence that it will go bang 15 times without fail if called upon to do so.

My local guy says he's never had anyone complain about them per se but more than one has mentioned that they should have bought a Ruger.

And he says that he'll gladly sell someone a NEOS - they are in demand - but if someone asks for input on the matter, he recommends the 22/45 or the MKII.

I love mine. It shoots straight and has not had a single malfunction in over 3000 rounds, and that is with really cheap ammunition and some good ammunition. It always sucks to hear about someone getting a poor product, sorry yours has been such a problem.

The Neos I handled was very awkward and top heavy. Not to mention, uglier than a Hi-Point. Ok, maybe that's streching it...

Ruger MKII and Browning Buckmark....much better....

My father has a stainless Ruger MKII w/6 & 3/4" barrel. He put firesights on it too. LOVE THAT THING!!!

Probably the same way Beretta pawned it off to him. Something wrong with selling a gun you don't like?

Nothing wrong with selling a gun you don't like. Somebody, somewhere will like it. And nothing wrong with selling one that has problems, as long as the buyer knows what's up. I think you should send it back again....and insist that they pay the shipping both ways, since they obviously just popped any old target in the box with the gun. It would be really golden if you could match the ammo that they used and include a test target back to them.

One... Bad Gun...
Two... Bad customer service...
Three.. Bad 'Factory repair'...

Sounds like three strikes & they're out to me....

Well, I hated my S&W -- and can't say I was thrilled with THEIR customer service. I found them rude, brief and not much help. It's like talking to a picture on the wall really...needless to say I sold mine for cheaper than I should have but I hated it that much. This isn't to say I wouldn't support someone else's decision to buy a S&W gun...just warn them about the lousy customer service I received. It was just bad luck perhaps for me but it's not to say other people won't be delighted with their purchase.

On the other hand, I have two Berettas and never had a problem with either -- or Beretta customer service, but then I always e-mail them and so far, they've been responsive. Sorry to hear you got a lemon.

Which doesn't say that the Beretta is a bad gun. Why wouldn't your local guy recommend a Browning Buckmark, another popular choise?

The only real complaint I have heard about the Beretta 9000S is that the safety/decocker is too stiff, and that wears in. The 9000S is designed by the same firm.

MoNsTeR-
Nothing.......NOW.;)
Early examples of the Hammerli built SIG Trailside had a unusually high number of problems associated with them. Those problems have now been corrected in the current production guns.
Unfortunately, many those of who own early examples, like me, still have a problem child on their hands even after trips back to the factory.
I've had mine three years and have yet to find a type of ammo it will both function well and group well with.
But the search goes on.:D

George-
Those items were added before the gun was ever fired. And I still expect to find some ammo it will like. Have hopes for a couple bricks of Wolf Match on the way now.:)

And it could be the shooter.:D

Trying to get a hold of Beretta is like trying to get a hold of the White House. I'm sick of screwing around with this POS. Consider it sold. Beretta customer service STINKS. Period. End of story. I have no confidence in them or their products. They don't seem to give a damn about their products, so neither do I. I'm not sending it back again and again. I see this happening already. Trying to get a hold of someone there takes time I don't have to sit on hold for half a hour. Anyone have their email address? Maybe I'll try one time and request a new pistol and they pay shipping.

I love Berettas. I haven't had my Neos long at all but had fun my first time to the range with it.

Now, to be fair, I've never shot it with the iron sights. I bought a red dot scope and put it on before I shot it. For all I know mine could be shooting high with the iron sights, but with the red dot I was hitting everything.

I'm sorry you're having problems with yours considering all the fun I've had with mine.

Keep us up to date whether you sell it or contact Beretta again.
