I think I'm going to give the Beretta Pico a try since I didn't care for the Seecamp.

Reasons I'm going for the PICO
1.) Its only $240 bucks to find out if its the perfect pocket gun for me!
2.) Euro/Paddle slide release... A non button type is a must for me
3.) The fact Beretta makes good stuff is a huge plus
4.) The fact Beretta is even marketing these as UPGRADED since they have addressed problems, admitted, and worked towards resolving them, for the consumer
5.) Beretta is still in business
6.) Double Action with a shrouded hammer
7.) Locked Breech, traditional autoloader operation of slide ect.
8.) No mag lockout
9.) Gun has sights, a plus, but not a deal breaker if there wasn't any. Its nice that they can be upgraded to Trijicon Night Sights if I decide I like it.
10.) Stainless Slide and components with reported excellent machining
11.) It has a slide release
12.) I don't have to pay for an extra mag. (but probably a floorplate idk yet)
13.) Its made in USA
14.) It makes sense for me hahaah

I've put over 1000 rounds through my Pico with excellent reliability the most important factor IMO.
You'll find the standard sights are quite good. I bought a laser equipped frame and have grown to appreciate it's ease of use and robust nature.
The thin and small frame takes some getting use to but is easier to shoot well than some other pocket guns.
The design allows one to clean this gun very thoroughly. A nice feature.
I found the recoil spring needed replacement after about 800 rounds.
Good luck with your choice.

Cool guys. Appreciate it.

Is it small enough to back pocket?

Any pics of size comparisons?
Or a pic of how much of it you can see in a jeans back pocket?

You made a good choice. If I wanted a small 380 without a button mag release, the Pico would definitely be my preferred option.

The sights are excellent, the best I've ever seen on a pocket pistol.

Mine has been completely reliable.

I would highly recommend the DeSantis pocket holster.

The Pico is about as small as you can get and is more refined than the others. Most people have good luck with them but mine was a dud out of the box. Sent it in and they adjusted the extractor and it seems to be working fine now but the round count is still low. I also didn't care for the ball and post sights mine came with so I spent about $40 for the standard 3 dot.

I’m not familiar with those sights. Mine came factory with 3 dot sights. Where can I find the ball and post sights?

Any regular that comes to the High Road, knows what a fan I am of the Pico. There is a reason I own two of them. And if I told you how many rounds I actually fired through these guns, you would not believe me. Let me just say they run and run and run. I have about a dozen mags for these guns.

g8s1light forgot to mention that they have double strike capability. Will eat hot ammo and shoot very mild with little muzzle flip. Modular design, Easy to add grips work on any replaceable parts.Beautiful stainless steel receiver, sub chassis and even ships with a stainless steel guide rod. Not to mention beautiful stainless steel Magazines and a metal follower. I have alway wondered how they sell it so cheap.

wow that's a lot of good news! thanks for the video.

I'm so glad it was suggested.

With my requirements there are so few to choose from I seriously figured I would just go without.....

cuz I really cant afford/should not be dropping a grand on a 380 rohrbaugh either

thanks guys

Good. If you find the grip slightly too thin the Pachmayr Grip Glove for the S&W Bodyguard 380 fits, is inexpensive and makes control and comfort even better.

I added the Trijicon Night Sights but they start off pretty weak. Check on other options as well.

Thanks for the pointer on the Grip Glove.

I have TractionGrip stick-ons on my Pico right now -- but if I eventually find those wanting, I'll give that one a try. :)

There is also the Pachmayr Nano Grip Glove that gives a different feel. It is slightly squatter but has a more forward palm swell.

Any recommendations on "thin" wallet holsters, and other tuckable holsters to keep the purpose of having a small firearm?

I hate a big thick holster with a tiny gun in it, to me it defeats the purpose.

I agree. I hate thick holsters, in fact I had IWB except for the Pico which I just use a clip, or one of these. Heck you can even use your watch pocket of a pair of jeans for a holster.

That is the OEM extended grip that was came with the two mags shipped, the other a standard grip. When I first started shooting the gun, I thought I liked the mag without the grip. Then later decided I really prefered the extended mag. And I personally like the Extended mag. I find that Beretta knew what they were doing as it provides a very fast way to draw the gun. When my hand comes up, the extended grip on the mag engages my hand very quickly and easily. I just bought a Kel-tec P32 and found a extened mag like the Pico and will be placing them on the mags.
Some folks do not like the extended Mag and they shave them down. Jar has a pic of one that you can look up.
By the way the Pico mags are some of the nicest you will find on any gun. Beautiful stainless steel with a metal follower.
