IIRC, there's two DAO triggers for the PX4. There's double action as most know it (long and heavy) and constant action (shorter and/or lighter) than DA.
I don't recall. They must have been at the beginning of the model's life. I'm pretty sure a police department tried them, then gave them up. This wasn't recently.
The PX 4 had one issue I know of. There was a small batch that had 9mm NATO power springs so they wouldn't reliably feed regular lower power American 9mm. Beretta sent replacemt recoil springs to all those that had issues.
I have owned a Beretta 8040, 8045, and PX4 full-size in .40. I never had any problems with them. Of all of them, I regret selling the PX4 the most, and I'm going to make the PX4 .45 my next purchase.
