Cracked Inox
It is not common for the Inox to be cracked! If you shot the Hot ammo that is probably what done it.
The good news is Call Beretta and get a new one shipped to you!
The Bad news is / or could be a little hassle dealing with customer service!
I had a good experience with them on an unrelated repair to a Tomcat years ago. They just sent me a new one. I can deal with a little hassle to get a new gun though.
I have seen some night mares here on THR regarding beretta CS, and in some cases it cost a few bucks to replace it, like if you were not the original owner. I would go to Beretta web site and go to registration page and see if you can register it in your name first. ( warranty card may have not been sent in if you were not original owner perhaps ) just a thought?
The most I have seen paid for replacement is $178.00 and those people got the Inox as a replacement even for the older blue ones, but now they make a new (wide slide ) blue version.
So do you have a thin 1st generation blue and an Inox that is cracked?
Geez! I love these guns, I hate this problem with them because they are a great little package. Beretta dropped the ball by not pulling them back in and giving back out a new & improved version. I think the true problem with the crack is the pivot for the tip up barrel! It is this cross section that is the problem with hotter ammo. It is to thin! they could have done a little engineering and fixed it easily!
Good luck!
