Beretta Tomcat vs. Taurus PT-22

Tough call. I have a INOX Tomcat - and it is fat and heavy (for a pistol in .32). Its OK to shoot but it certainly would not be my first choice (heavy at 16+ oz unloaded).

I have had only one experience with the Taurus and it was shockingly reliable. I had a bag of various .22 ammo and a gentleman next to me at the range asked if I wanted to try his PT22. I said sure and he recommended I load up the .22 ammo randomly. It fed two magazines without a hiccup. Accuracy was OK, but I was not expecting it to be a tack driver.

SO, all that being said, I am going to offer a suggestion from left field. When you can, take a look at the new SIG 238. Its nearly the same size as the INOX Tomcat and weighs the same. Yet it is .380. I havent fired one yet, but it is supposed to be modeled on the Colt Mustang (which I carry) and THAT is super pleasant to shoot. Negligible recoil and easy control. I would feel much more comfortable with a .380 than with a .32, but thats me.

Good luck!
