120-150 Ft-Lb is .22LR from a rifle barrel, its in the 25-45 range from a 2" barrel, so the .32 (and .25 for that matter) are much more powerful from a pocket pistol.
Well to be accurate my bobcat with Velocitors is a smidge over 70 Ft Lbs.
Beretta's recommended 130 Ft Lb is for factory rating, factory standard ratings are from 4" barrels, so Federal 65gr Hydra shok which is rated 130 Ft Lb only has 97 Ft Lbs when fired from a Tomcat according to BBTI.
IMHO there's not "much" difference between a 1/4" ice pick and a 5/16" one.

halfmoon,

The SIG 230 and BERETTA Tomcat is a complete apples and oranges comparison. One is a mid-size gun and the other a much smaller, more concealable one. They really are for different purposes. They are both good guns, just not really comparable.

Jim, I clocked the ammo IN the Tomcat, specifically checking on the caveats regarding ammo/energy.
The SIG P230 is a PPK sized pistol.

Slim,

I have tried the WINCHESTER flat tip ammo in BERETTA, COLT and WALTHER pistols. It was reliable in none of them.
