Looking at picking one of these up from a friend he has used it roughly twice and wants to get rid of it because he got a Benelli super black eagle 2. I used it other night and loved it while hunting but was wondering if there is anything I should look out for etc if I pick it up. Also you think 1100-1200 is a fair price?

if the gun is in good shape I Feel that if a fair price (1400,1500)new and going up every year. have been shooting a sbe1 for 15 years and the xtrema for 5. Love them both and never hand any trouble out of either of them, but I still love my 1187. 20 years and still going.

A391A Extrema II

That is a premium price, check on the recoil reduction system. It is optional. There should be 5 chokes, two stock recoil pads, cast on/off spacers, and an excellent hard case. All that said: the gun is excellent, and the pleasure of a good gun will erase any slight pinch of pain paying for it! You can download the manual from Beretta website.

Great gun, never have seen it jam, even when hunting in 0 degrees Fahrenheit weather, eats any ammo, fairly light weight, low recoil, just an ideal shotgun all around, in my opinion. No downsides :)

Best waterfowling gun ever made. The price is a little on the steep side... you can find these used in gun shops for less.

Paid 1150 for it, used it (again) and love it!! I don't think I did too bad because like I said he used it twice plus time I tried it. It's not like ones at gun shop that have been used for awhile. I know its only been used that much also because like I said he is a friend. Thanks to all those that replied though! Also if anyone is thinking of picking one up do it! They are definitely worth it!
