Beretta

The best looking full size auto pistol in the world (the Bersa Thunder full size is close second or maybe just equal), one of the most proven design out there....just a joy to hold it in your hands, timeless look.

I love my 96 and my 92F...on the prowl for a 92FS.

I have only one Beretta in my collection. It is a Beretta 92 Combat Combo. It is built on a Brigadier slide with frame mounted safety.

This is my pick of the Beretta and I would recommend the same to you.

My opinion on beretta pistols means little in the operational dept. since I've only ever owned/shot a S&W 5904 and a Glock 29, but man, the Beretta 92 series and the Cougar series are extremely good looking guns, if that means anything. I have been planning on getting a 92fs or a 92fs compact for going on 3 years, but my meager budget and desires for other guns, combined with the fact that I only turned 21 a couple of weeks ago has prevented me from picking one up. Sometime this year I get one for sure.

Another vote for the 92FS here. I've had my USA-made INOX for over 10 years, and I lost count long ago of how many rounds I've shot through it. I've never had a single FTF, FTE, or hiccup of any kind, although I don't shoot +P ammunition. I'm even using the original recoil spring, though I suppose it's probably due for a replacement by now. I installed a "D" spring from the DAO Beretta pistols for better double-action feel, polished the feed ramp (probably not necessary), added adjustable rear target sights, blacked out the front sight, and had a very basic trigger job by a local gunsmith. I can't imagine ever parting with this firearm.

I dislike 1 thing about Beretta they dont make a .45 version of the 92.

ETA: my 92A1 has moved to my personal favorite pistol slot thou..
