Has anyone received one of the new Bergara 17HMRs yet? It was said that they will arrive in the USA late May to early June. I've ordered one from Reed's with a projected delivery date 3-5 months out, which means by October 1st at the latest or hopefully August 1st. Any other news out there would be appreciated. Very eager to try one.

Euro still dosent have them listed in stock, and they usually get stuff pretty early.
Had my FFL buddy check distribs and nothing in stock there either.
He knows i want a 20" carbon in .17hmr also, so hes keeping an eye out.

As to projected availability....ive got no useful info...

If you like light rifles, you'll love the BMR. I have the BXR 18" carbon barrel and it weighs 4.5lbs. Actually too light for me, but still shoots very well. I'm betting the BMR will be a good shooter.

According to my ffl buddy the b-14r is currently available......but he might have missed the 17hmr part......ill check again....

I owned one Bergara, and shot a few others and they've all been very nice. Ive been wanting another 17 HMR and it would be neat to contrast the BMR versus my Ranger.

I've owned four 17HMRs. My first was a Ruger 77/17 with sport barrel and walnut stock. Shot good but not great and got worse when it heated up, which is a big problem in a prairie dog town. Sold it. My second is an Anschutz 1517MPR. Wicked accurate, a great p-dog rifle, but too heavy to carry in the field. My 3rd was a Sako FinnFire II with sport barrel and walnut stock. Very accurate, but a bit light, which made it difficult for me; I have tremor that interferes. Got a great offer for it so I sold it, which I now regret. My 4th is another Anschutz 1517 with a custom finish on the stock. Bought it so I wouldn't have to refinish the stock as I did on the first Annie. It is very accurate, but I need to change the scope. Now comes the Bergara B-14, which will have a much better scope. Needless to say, I love the 17HMR round. I have several really nice .22s and am doing the same with the 17HMR.
And yes, the B-14 is scare but available in .22, but Reed's is telling me 3-5 months, which means October unless I can find it elsewhere.
