Can anyone tell me about the quality of these firearms?

I am looking for information on the Bernardelli P One in particular.

9MM? I have seen a few in 9MM. I would rate them as good as Star. Parts are hard to come by. You would need to find a orphan gunsmith to work on them. I would pass if offered one.

hi,
ordinary Italian product. Great effort on external design and much less on inner things.

The plastic guide rod made of a polymer which is the ceapest lokking I have ever seen on a real handgun.

Otherwise these guns work, but nothing special, average trigger, average accuracy etc.

No official LEO or Military unit ever adopted them, maybe it shows their real value.

If you can get one cheaply, it is a good plinker, but I would not consider it for any serious work.

bernardelli ?

A friend had one in .380 many years ago...Average about sums it up. It did nothing really well, did not fit exactly right, did not get much better with use.

There are much better pistols out there.

Italian?

Well, the polymer part is.
I hear the steel portions are of subcontracted Turkish make.

I've yet to try one, but the Bernardelli half-polymers seem good enough (after some tricking out) for some people to win matches here in the Philippines ---and keep in mind, the pistoleros here are usually on a par with the Filipino competitors who've graced US shores, like Jet Dionisio, KC Eusebio, etc..
