When you order a Berry bullet -
Are the boxes or box smashed or in good shape.
I would say that 1/2 of my boxes are smashed & bullets are all over
the bottom of the cardboard box.
They have a very poor latch on these boxes.
What say you?

I think that's just a hit or miss. I've had it both ways with different manufactures. Sometimes they arrive in good shape other times not so good. Its just how the carrier handles them. I have found that manufactures in the reloading industry care about their product and packaging more so than others. Bullet boxes are heavy and tend to get beat up.

RMR puts theirs in a heavy plastic bag, inside a box taped all to hell and back, and then in one of those priority mail envelopes you couldn't tear if your life depended on it. Not lost any bullets yet.

It's not the fault of Berry's, since they leave their plant in good shape and packaged well. The fault lies with the USPS distribution centers. I ship brass, and some places beat up the boxes more than others. I know anything going to Michigan or Minn. are going to arrive smashed, so it gets double boxed and lots and lots of tape, just so they can't break it open when they play soccer with it. Other parts of the country, the boxes arrive like new.

I have a wholesale account with Berry's, and I've never had a problem with their packaging. They do have a lifetime warranty on all their plastic boxes, so save them up and send the broken ones back and they'll replace them.

Hope this helps.

Betcha $10 you could do a correlation study and demonstrate near perfect correlation to which mail carrier/sorter/drop'n'stomper handles your box.

All the Berry's I've gotten have been in good shape. I ordered all them from Cabelas with my club points. I keep them for putting ammo in to go out and shoot.

My Berry bullets show up in good shape unless my wife is home when they show up and she drops them because they are heavy. When that happens I end up looking worse than the box. The I am told to make sure I'm home the next time.

Like said above its probably the delivery company more than anything else. The delivery person doesn't like the weight and takes it out on the box or maybe someone in the distribution center is anti gun or something similar. I'm lucky my postal delivery guy is a shooter and takes good care of my shooting components.

My Xtreme plated bullets always arrive in pristine condition.

Their smaller containers are sized to perfectly fit in the bigger shipping boxes. They're pretty heavy duty.
+1 I think you get a better deal from Xtreme they always seem to have a Sale or free shipping going on

All depends on where the Berry's came from. I quit ordering bulk from midway since they always get busted up. They think the little air pillows will keep the boxes from shipping, not. They just don't know how to pack heavy bulk bullets. Now coming from the mfg and other places I have not had any problem.

Just received a 500 bullet order from Extreme and it was in perfect condition. I've gotten bullet orders from Oregon Trail Bullets and they have arrived in good condition and crushed. It's not the bullet company's IMO but the way the shipment is handled.
