Berry's plated from cabelas

Wow placed a order on Wednesday from cabelas arrived this morning.
I paid around 10 cents a round but shipping was Free.
I wanted to order some 38 cal. Bullets at .357 125 gr
I have a 9 mm which I slug the bore and use .358 led 122 gr. TC bullets
My glock also will run on .357 diameter
Will see how Berry's plated work.
I here that Dardus cast bullet company is no longer.

When I started reloading I used Berry’s a few times. They seemed consistent in size and weight. They shot decent.

I’ve since switched to RMR as they’re cheaper and I notice no difference between them and the Berry’s. So the on,y thing I like better about the Berry’s is the nice plastic box they come in, but having a few, the extra cost doesn’t justify more.

I'm not a fan of plated bullets. I would much rather use cast bullets at a lesser price. Plated bullets seem to cost too much for what they are so I pass.

I agree that RMR bullets are a better choice especially since they are now made in house. Pay attention if you order, they offer both plated and FMJ bullets.

My S&W M&P 9mm FS loves those 38 cal 125 gr bullets. Likewise with my Charter Arms Pitbull 9mm.

Two things I've noticed since the Filing for bankruptcy of Xtreme and the purchase of Cabela's by Bass Pro Shops.

1. the price of Berry's Bullets has increased everywhere I look, even on their own website.
2. Since the buyout Cabela's hasn't included a single item in any of their Three big sales regarding anything reloading and still doesn't have primers available. Also the number of different pistol bullets has diminished to the same levels as Bass Pro Shops. Very Limited selection.

Berrys also has a wider selection of bullets than many others. Need a plated dewc or makarov bullet? No problem.

It's been a while since I need pistol bullets. However back when I was loading a lot of pistol, I used berry's, ALOT. For guns that just didn't like lead, they ran great and were very consistent.

I use Berry's 230 gr. RN's in my 1911. Cabelas in Dundee, MI has them for $71.99/500. The Hornady 230 gr. FMJ's are $109.99/500. The reloading section is always well stocked with components and equipment. Primers were gone for a couple months but today they had a good supply of federal Large and Small Pistol and and a few boxes of Winchester. Still no CCI.

Just a worthless post about a, past Cabelas score. I had to wait a few minutes, but got a Berrys 1000 rd box of .380 for $50. Set for life with my Excam!

...Berry’s is the nice plastic box they come in, but having a few, the extra cost doesn’t justify more.

If you ever order anything from Powder Valley, they carry the boxes for $1.80. Use them for my reload shelf. Trying to find a cardboard box to replace my old xtreme boxes. The cardboard ones pack well under my bench.

I ran them 38 cal. 125 gr. .357 Threw my glock17 yesterday using 3.4 gr. Bulleye at 1.055
No problem
Looks like a good bullet to work on some new loads
