Well, I wasn't impressed with the trigger on a guy's Bersa .380. Trigger creep from hell. I thought it'd never break. Can't speak for the .22 version, though.
I plan to check it properly at an indoor range next week.
I did expect this gun to be a cheap clunker, but it is surprisingly well made. Not Colt Python status, but I was half expecting "Saturday Night Special", which is not the case.
I can't stand the finger grooves though. I might cut them off, or order a set of wood grips. It's not the Firestorm's fault, though. I tend to not work well with any finger grooves.
I got the scissors out and cut off the finger grooves. I like it much better now. Rubber finger grooves feel like I'm squeezing clay, which is probably the idea. Somehow, I hate the feeling of squeezing clay.
Yesterday I only fired a few magazines to check it for function. The only trouble at this point is that a magazine packed with all 10 rounds of .22LR has trouble letting the first round chamber. This is because there is a ton of spring pressure in the full mag and the top round is locked in hard. With 9 rounds, function is flawless with the CCI Mini Mags I used yesterday. I'm hoping that the mag issue gets better once the magazine is "broken in".
This looks like a very promising little pistola. I hope to get many years from it because I love plinkers.
Here's a pic with the wrap around finger grooves cut off.
