I took my Bersa Thunder 45 back for another range session. I ran 87 more rounds through it and nary a bobble. This is 200 rounds without a hiccup so the $250 pistol has passed the break in period in flying colors.

What is the"Puzzling Statement about the Bersa Thunder 45?" The range said they had one of these pistols go South last week. The frame gave out in front of the takedown lever. I asked what the ammo was and they said Winchester 230gr White Box. Has anyone heard anything like this happening?

Regards,

I had the .40 version, and was surprised at how buttery-soft the alloy frame was. It showed a significant amount of peening and wear after only 200 rds, so I was less than impressed.

Expect this to be a disposable pistol with a limited lifespan and you won't be disappointed.

At least your is reliable. After 2 or 3 months at their repair shop, mine still wasn't.

To The Mighty Beagle, I am sorry you had big problems. The 40 S&W generates a lot more presure than the 45acp. My hopes are this pistol will become a great car gun. I guess I will wait for other responses to see what is up. Thanks for the response. Regards, Richard:D
