The Walther PPS is smaller but you give up a few rounds (the Walther is 7+1) and it's a lot more expensive. OTOH, it is available.

Everything I have heard about the Bersa pistols has been positive. Both of my brothers-in-law own the .380s.

Fine, but it works both ways, lets compare the deal of a used $250 Bersa vs a new $550 Glock.

I'd be a Bersa shootin fool in that case! Funny though, I've never even come across a used Bersa in the shops other than the 380s.

The point being that the aftermarket for sights, grips, holsters, etc........ is FACTUALLY much less than with other more common firearms. Thats all. I, personally, liked my Bersa 9mm and it served me well. If I could have replaced the sights on it I would still be carrying it.

Well the new pro 9 , 40,45acp with the dovetailed front and rear sight Will allow use of Sig aftermarket sights .

When I helped start the original Bersa Talk years back was nothing out their. Today that has changed CT has laser grips for the 380 thunder Holsters are their to be found The after market is growing as the owned ship of Bersa is growing.
Its going to keep getting better as more and more people find out about Bersa. Remember Bersa doesn't advertise in the gun rags They depend on word of mouth or gun-boards Not full page adds in a gun rag. . With no adverting just word of mouth . They sell every one they can produce and bring in USA . As for a used 9mm My dealer had one 2 mo back lasted day and 1/2 . That the only used 9mm Bersa I have ever saw him have . Iam sure their are some around .

I'm glad to hear Bersa had switched to a more standard dovetail. That helps the sight situation greatly, especially since you can buy Sig sight sets and night sights really cheap. (Are both sight dovetailed? or just the rear?) I see mags are in the $40 dollar range now. Still much more than what you ca find for other mags but better than the $50+ they used to be.

Michael, why the switch from Bersatalk to Bersachat?

And what are the differences in the new Pro model? I wasn't even aware they had made changes since the one I had a few years ago.

I've one of the older non-Pro stainless (no longer available). The only differences I can remember are a polygon barrel, new style accessory rail and the roll mark. The Pro also comes with 2 mags instead of one.

MT will advise if there's more to the change...

I own both the .380 and UC9. Both have been very reliable, accurate and a pleasure to shoot. I have shot various brands of ammo through them and never had one glitch. I own several more expensive guns than these, but none are more reliable.

I just purchased a Bersa Thunder UC9 Pro and its awesome. traded a taurus tcp for it and it was the best decision i've made in a long time. I LOVE it, comfortable, better name brand than taurus i guess, and has all the options that u could want, plus I feel safe now carrying with a round in the chamber. which was a big issue for me personally

I have one of these guns and there is nothing compact about it. It is a full-size gun. And the grips are huge! I don't know why they call it a compact.

On the plus side - it never jams (and I do mean never), the sights are great and the controls are very nice and completely ambidextrous.

The fullsize is even bigger, itn is a little thick but defiately smaller than most fullsize pistols.
