Think about a glock 26. Maybe it's not as small as a Kel-Tec but for less than $500 you can own something that will go "Boom" everytime. I own a Glock 27 just because I'm a fan of the .40 cal round
I've also got a 27, love it, love the baby Glocks in general, but there are quite a few completely satisfied long-time Kel-Tec owners posting in this thread who don't seem to have any reservations about their pistol's reliability.
